This is volume 5 chapter 23 of a series of books written by the Baron Macaulay (1800-1859) and published after his death. To quote from the preface - 'I HAVE thought it right to publish that portion of the continuation of the "History of England" which was fairly transcribed and revised by Lord Macaulay. It is given to the world precisely as it was left: no connecting link has been added; no reference verified; no authority sought for or examined. It would indeed have been possible, with the help I might have obtained from his friends, to have supplied much that is wanting; but I preferred, and I believe the public will prefer, that the last thoughts of the great mind passed away from among us should be preserved sacred from any touch but his own. Besides the revised manuscript, a few pages containing the first rough sketch of the last two months of William's reign are all that is left. From this I have with some difficulty deciphered the account of the death of William. No attempt has been made to join it on to the preceding part, or to supply the corrections which would have been given by the improving hand of the author. But, imperfect as it must be, I believe it will be received with pleasure and interest as a fit conclusion to the life of his great hero.'

Starved Rock: A Historical Sketch by Osman, Eaton G.
This book is an early history of the Starved Rock Area in Northern Illinois. In the pre-Columbian era, the Starved Rock area was home to Native Americans, particularly the Kaskaskia who lived in the Grand Village of the Illinois across the river. Louis Jolliet and Jacques Marquette were the first Europeans recorded as exploring the region, and by 1683, the French had established Fort St. Louis on a large sandstone butte overlooking the river. According to a native legend, a group of Illinois Confederation (Illini) pursued by the Ottawa and Potawatomi fled to the butte in the late 18th century. The Ottawa and Potawatomi besieged the butte until all of the Illini had starved, and the butte became known as Starved Rock. The butte area was designated a U.S. National Historic Landmark in 1960. Four years ago she decided to open a pupuseria (a stand selling stuffed tortillas called pupusas) in her home as her husbandâs income was not enough to cover the household expenses. Her business has a good location as she is on one of the main streets of the neighborhood where she lives. This has helped her because many people stop by to ask for her delicious pupusas. For her the most important thing is her family, and this is why each morning she gets up very early in order to start working in able to help a little with the household expenses, and each day is more difficult. She is very enterprising and does not let any business opportunity escape, and this is why at the holiday season she wants to take advantage of offering more choices to her clients as during this time the sales always increase. It is for this reason that she has taken the decision of asking for a loan from Integral in order to invest in her business to buy the basic supplies that she needs, such as cheese, beans, rice, chicharon (pork cracklings), and others, in order to be able to give a better service to her customers, increasing her earnings which permit her to have a better opportunity to succeed. She is very thankful to the institution and in the past trusted in it for a loan in order to invest in her business and she is waiting for favorable results with this new loan because without the help of Integral none of this would be possible.

Henry James wrote a number of ghost stories -- The Turn of the Screw being the most famous. Did he believe in ghosts himself, as did many of his contemporaries? It's generally possible to find earthly interpretations, Freudian and other, for his ghosts. Sir Edmund Orme, though, is unquestionably a real ghost -- except of course that James's unnamed narrator tells the story in the voice of yet a third man, and the narrator himself passes no judgments on the factual nature of what he is reporting (there's a resemblance here to The Turn of the Screw). The story has to do with two love affairs in two generations, and Sir Edmund, real or imagined, plays a role in each. In the end, then, it's still up to the reader to decide on the nature of the ghost, whether he's real or imagined. James gives you no clear answer.

The united group called, âResidenciales El Campo #2â is made up of three members who run different businesses. Elbia is one of the members. Sheâs 51 years old, a widow, and has five children. She has a steady job as a school advisor from Monday to Friday and sells vegetables on the weekends. Her biggest problem is that she doesnât have her own home and the school managers have allowed her to set up living quarters within the school. Thanks to the loans sheâs gotten through FAMA, sheâs been able to set it up, although itâs too small for her family. Itâs a challenge for her to save money, but sheâs saving a little at a time to buy a lot on which to build, while continuing to support her family. Her husband died two years ago and she has no other means of financial support. Elbia is asking for this loan in order to buy potatoes, peppers, onions, carrots, chayote squash, cauliflower, broccoli, and other vegetables, so that she can offer the greatest variety of products to her customers. One of her advantages is that her oldest son helps her transport her vegetables from the school to the marker in his cart, so she doesnât have to pay for transportation or for an employee because he also helps to serve the customers. With the support of this loan, she hopes to increase her income to be able to save a bit, continue feeding her family, and continue paying for her four youngest childrenâs school expenses. Her dream is to also have a place to sell clothing so that she can have another source of income and be able to build her house and graduate her children. Elbia feels very grateful because this loan she obtained through FAMA has allowed her to improve her financial situation. She is grateful to all the people who will invest in her through this loan. .

This will be Fransiska's third loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. Her previous loans, both since repaid, were used to expand her business and pay household expenses, and this one will help purchase an additional stock of utensils. Her dream is to one day own another utensils business in a different area.
