Sadly the refurbishment means the end of the astronomy shows:

How to fold a T-shirt in just a few seconds

I love this tip because I'm incredibly lazy about folding Tees - and they never seem to look quite right even when I do. The end result is a huge pile of T shirts stuffed into drawers or worse still crumpled up. Not very time saving (or money saving since my Tees resemble rags rather than clothes).

Watch the tip below for the inside scoop on how to fold T-shirts in seconds. Rather oddly the younger chap's T-shirt has the slogan "Girl of Slender Frame".

Energy Saving Tip #4 - Defrost the fridge

My mission for this Easter (should I decide to accept it) is to defrost the fridge and freezers in my house. One of them has got so bad it was impossible to close the door properly yesterday. It looks like something out of Ice Age!

How to defrost your fridge:

  1. Turn it off at the wall
  2. Take out everything (including any frozen peas that have escaped).
  3. Store your frozen nosh in another freezer, cool bag or cardboard box.
  4. Put a large pan of hot water in the freezer to speed things up.
  5. Very important: Do not stab at the ice with a sharp knife like an ice climber on speed. It's very satisfying I know - but puncturing the freezer is not money saving.
  6. Catch the melting ice in a pan and empty when full.
None of this applies if you have a frost-free fridge - but if you have more than 1/4 inch of ice then it's time to get working.

Energy Saving Tip #3 - Use your kettle to boil water

This is a great time saving tip too. Boil water for cooking in your kettle rather than a pan (especially one without a lid) - it'll save you time and money.
